This beautiful cozy restaurant is the spot for the best authentic Pakistani-Indian cuisine!!! Came here as a family of 5 for the first time to celebrate my birthday dinner & we absolutely enjoyed the beautiful ambiance & loved every single dish we had. From the super rich lamb nihari, deliciously authentic paneer chicken handi, amazing beef kebab, chicken, & lamb biriyani plates….chefs kiss!!! The presentation delivered 10/10 especially when we saw the mitti handi (clay pots) reminded me of back home!!! The food was literal perfection. Shandaar restaurant also has the best service we came across after many years. Our waistress Usma ji was super sweet & hospitable. Catered to our needs & went beyond to accommodate our family members to make sure we had a memorable time. Additionally, the staffs & chefs were also very kind & amicable We will most be definitely coming back to Shandaar & ordering from this hidden gem of a restaurant thank you for the incredibly wholesome birthday dinner experience May God bless

I have never been this happy to write a 5 star review. Shandaar Cuisine is by far my favourite restaurant in Montreal. It is a family-owned Pakistani restaurant with both Pakistani and Indian dishes made to perfection. The family-style ambiance, the unique spice blends that will make you travel with each bite, and the kindness of the staff will have you going back regularly. Everything is flavourful, fresh, well seasoned and fragrant. My husband being of Pakistani heritage means that we are picky when it comes to south asian cuisine. This is one of the few places we consider to be as good as homemade. It reminds my in-laws of the succulent dishes from back home, without having to leave the city. Some of my favourite dishes are the Peshawari chicken karahi, the lamb biryani, the fish karahi, the daal, and of course, the chai. Whether you come with family, friends or for a date night, you will not be disappointed. Thank you to Usma and her son for being such wonderful hosts. Thank you to the amazing staff and cooks.

We were visiting montreal from GTA and decided to give Shandaar cuisine a try. Ordered chicken karahi, and it was a 10/10. We had been out and about all day and super hungry. We placed an order on the phone for pickup but later decided to switch it to dine in. The service was good, and the taste was exceptional. Truly authentic pakistani cuisine. The portions were generous, too. The staff was welcoming and very attentive as well. We later ordered tea as well. The ambiance, however, was a little dull in my opinion, and parking was difficult to find. Other than that, this place is highly recommended if you want to try authentic pakistani food.

We tried the butter chicken and the naan. They were amazing The butter chicken was so creamy and flavourful and the naan was so fresh and comforting. The guy was so nice and kind and he offered us a free Mango Lassi as a gift It was super tasty and fresh ! We highly recommend this place Definitely going back!

Absolutely incredible food. Had the Shandaar Chicken Karahi and Lamb Biryani. The chicken was probably one of the best dishes I've ever had at a Pakistani/Indian restaurant. Service was good. Seemed like only 1 guy was working that took our order and made our food, but we were the only ones there so there wasn't a wait.

Their service is absolutley out of this world honestly i was so in peace and felt so comfertabel & it was so delicious i kept ordering new items the restaurant is really calm and u can talk with friends and family i also felt like it was a family business thzt really put their heart into it and make everything fresh (not the chicken samosas but everything else yes i think) honestly would go back all the way 1h just for the service

The real taste of Pakistan! From the flavourful Shaandar karahi, Beef Biryani and perfectly spiced tadka daal to the crispy fish pakora and karak chai, everything hits the mark. Add to that the genuine hospitality that makes you feel right at home, truly a heartwarming experience!

I wish I could give more stars than 5 because this restaurant has satisfied our taste buds to maximum. If you're missing Pakistani food and want to try an authentic restaurant, THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU. Also, the host Uzma is super sweet. Loved the whole experience.
